Sharing Screen on TV
Steps for connecting a Windows laptop to a conference room TV and choosing the correct display mode for presenting or extending the desktop.
Step 1: Connect to Wi-Fi
Open the laptop, sign in, and make sure it is connected to Wi-Fi before trying to cast to the TV.
Step 2: Open the Cast Menu
Press Windows + K at the same time to open the Windows cast menu.
Step 3: Select the Room Display
Look for the display name shown for the TV and click it to connect.
Step 4: Choose the Display Mode
After the screen appears on the TV, choose how you want the display to behave.
- Duplicate shows the TV exactly as it appears on the laptop screen.
- Extend treats the TV as a second monitor so windows can be dragged to it.
